a diplomat

so in my humanities class which is called UN NORTH/SOUTH , we talk about the united nations and countries and its functions and every student in the class has to pick a country and be a diplomat so my teacher's(who is from ethiopia) like:

A diplomat is a nice person sent abroad to lie for his country.
